This course examines the determination of macroeconomic variables such as national income, unemployment, inflation, investment and interest rates. The objective of the course is to learn about basic mathematical models of macroeconomics. The level of the course is intermediate, i.e., it is recommended that students have studied introductory-level macro/microeconomics, though not required.

1. Students will learn the basic macroeconomic models. 2. Students will be able to solve the models mathematically and interpret the results intuitively. 3. Students will be ready to apply the models to discuss various issues of current interest.
