授業の目的  
n this course, we will learn the basics of the national accounting and the techiniques to present the national accounting data in a matrix format, the national accounting matrix (NAM). A NAM is a powerful tool to visualize the macroeconomic flows and provides the foundation of macroeconomic simulation models.

授業時間外の学修内容
（項目説明）授業全体を通して授業前に予習すべき内容、授業後に復習すべき内容を示しています。単位は、授業時間前後の予習復習を含めて認定されます。  
Students are required:
to study basics of macroeconomics, national accounting, and computing by oneself,
to collect national accounting and other macroeconomic data of the country you choose,
to make step by step an accounting matrix for the country you choose under advice of the teacher,
to execute a ripple-effect analysis using the accounting matrix.

Students have to have learned:
to make an accounting matrix from standard national accounting data of a country,
to execute ripple-effect (linear-model) analysis using the accounting matrix,
to analyze and discuss macro-economic developments of a country form an integrated perspective of economics, history, culture, and society.

The course will give you the fundamentals to understand the national accounting and skills to apply the data to further macroeconomic modeling.

Lectures and exercises to make a NAM step-by-step using a PC and Excel. The classes will be conducted in a PC classroom.
