This course will introduce academic presentation skills and characteristics of graduate level oral communication. Students will hone their skills through focused and practical exercises.

As this is a skills class, lessons will focus on practicing various skills introduced each week and for which students have completed background reading and assignments. Students will receive appropriate feedback and, if necessary, individualized reinforcement practice. In addition to short presentations, students will prepare a longer presentation. The above weekly breakdown of topics is for reference only and may change depending on the needs of the students.
