At the end of the course, you should have a good idea of research questions, the most relevant literature, as well as what the research frontier looks like. This should help you formulate research questions in this field, as well as equip you to tackle these questions with contemporary methods.

Empirical methods used in each topic are taught in lecture style, following the textbook. Then we read papers in each topic and discuss their contributions and problems. Students are required to present literature summaries and to participate in the class discussions. Students are also asked to write a short empirical paper using the method learned in the class.
