This course, which is conducted entirely in English and held at University College Dublin (in Ireland), is run together with partnering business school around the world. The program is in its 11th iteration and is called "Managing Around the World: Roundtables for Experienced Managers". It is a one-week course designed to explore how things get done inside organizations in a cross-cultural world, and how to work more effectively.

This course will take place from Sunday April 30 to Friday May 5 in Dublin, Ireland. A detailed syllabus will be distributed to participants prior to the start of the program. The following is a provided as a basic image of the content.

Each participant will be coming with pressing managerial and career-related challenges. These will be our central concern, so we ask each participant to come prepared to talk briefly about one challenge that you really must address in the near future; select something that is seriously difficult, and that is currently on your agenda to deal with. It might be quite general – such as ‘understand what our customers really want’; or something quite specific, such as ‘get our regional directors to share their key accounts’. It might also be related to the direction you want to take in your career, or a personnel issue that needs resolution. Only you will know what constitutes an important challenge, and the value that you get from the program will be hugely enhanced if you take this seriously.

The program is made up of 3 parts: (1) the purpose and nature of managerial work; (2) field visits to local companies; and (3) application to your own circumstances. You will be able to explain what you gained from course in each of these three areas.

|
The active contributions of each individual throughout the entire week is key to this event, which has participants from MBA and eMBA programs at leading international business schools from around the world.

In order to get the most from the Roundtable process, you need to have a managerial presence in organizational life, so you can test and develop experience with colleagues in management roles from different parts of the world. Also, please note that each student is responsible for (1) paying the course materials/administration fee, as well as (2) his or her own expenses related to traveling to and from Montreal and staying in Montreal.
