The goal of this course is to introduce basic macroeconomic theory concepts to the students with no prior background in economics. Students will learn basics economic theory; will learn about economic policies and economic analysis, and how to apply the economic tools and concepts for a better understanding of historical economic process and current economic issues.
Student with different levels of English language skill are encouraged to take this class as the instructions will be given in simple basic terms.

Students are encouraged to prepare for the class in order to be able to participate in class discussions. Also, students are advised to review the material after each class.
Handouts of the slides used in each class will be provided to the students.

To achieve the Learning Standards, students are required to show excellent performance during the final test, have a good attendance and class participation.
|
|
|
|
To achieve the Learning Objectives, students are required to achieve a minimum of 50% performance during the final test and have a satisfactory attendance.
|
|
|
The student’s performance will be determined according to the final exam results (80% of the final grade) and their class attendance and participation (20% of the final grade).
The final exam will be a multiple choice test.
